From cabins to custom homes, the owners of Kozy Kabin Construction (dba KK Custom Homes in the eastern
Idaho Valley) have carved a niche in the home building industry by adapting to their market.
Kirk Davis (Owner, CEO) and Brent Luthy (Owner, VP Production) first met while building cabins and lodges in Island Park and Sun Valley. They formed Kozy Kabin Construction in 1997 and built a reputation for their quality, high-end luxury vacation homes. Then in 2004, Kirk and Brent expanded their reach to bring their high-end homes to southeast Idaho. They called the new division KK Custom Homes and opened a sales office at 135 E. Main Street in Rigby. Inside the spacious showroom, customers can browse thru some of the amenities that come standard in all KK homes — wood floors, granite countertops and custom cabinetry. Building your dream home could include commercial grade appliances, copper accents, rough sawn wood floors, and monster garages. Their value added benefit is complimentary consultations with their interior design team to help you incorporate elements of color, texture and lighting to your new space.
Benjamin Davis, vice president of operations, tells me the homes range in price from $400,000 to more
than $1 million and customers choose from one of KK’s home designs or customize their own homes. KK Custom
Homes has partnered with Energy Star. They have been identified as a "Green Builder" and eco friendly.
Benjamin says this year, KK Custom Homes expects to more than double its 2005 revenue. The company will build about 25 luxury homes and is working on commercial projects as well as master planned communities in South East Idaho. Through flexibility and commitment to quality, KK Custom Homes is building a solid foundation for its future, in which the company hopes to expand into Western Wyoming and Southern Utah.
